They’re so cute when they’re babies. Then we get to dress them up like dolls when they first start school. But then they become teenagers, and the cuteness we once knew somehow disappears. We still love them, but they’re challenging, in ways we probably never really expected. Over time though, we discover new gems in these young adults and we learn to love and care for them in ways we never imagined. Paper caps are like teenagers.
We offer an array of end closures and our paper caps are by far the most challenging. Unlike injection moulded plastic plugs or die cut metal ends, paper caps are, well, paper. Paper is defined as a material manufactured from the pulp of wood or other fibrous substances. By definition, paper caps are fibrous, porous and “breathable.” We make our paper caps by feeding recycled paper through a punch press that 1) die cuts a round piece of paper and 2) forms the circular paper disc into the paper cap. Paper caps fit over the outside ends of a paper tube. Did You Know?A 3″ paper cap is made to fit over the outside ends of a 3″ mailing tube with a .060″ wall thickness. Although the mailing tube has a 3.125″ outside diameter, it fits a 3″ paper cap. The size of a paper cap is a call sign and used in the same way that a 2×4 piece of lumber is actually 1.5″ x 3.5″. We use the call sign to eliminate unnecessary confusion. Why paper caps are great- made with recycled paper

If you’re looking for a recycled paper cap to compliment your brand or product, paper caps are a great way to go. But if you’re looking for an End Closure that won’t be affected by humidity and can withstand a little wear and tear, you may want to consider a plastic or metal end closure. Paper caps are like teenagers. They’re great! You may just want to be ready for a little challenge.
